Artist
D|EChris Tille works at the intersection of science and art. Trained as a classical photographer in Innsbruck, Austria, he now uses photography, installation and sculpture as a means of visualizing complex data sets to make scientific principles and discoveries more accessible and meaningful. His series use data from a variety of research areas as a starting point, which he then interprets, remixes as different sensory experiences and meticulously reconstructs to make the information accessible to the public again in mostly larger-than-life objects and works.
His current project - Konkretion - is an outstanding example of his artistic vision. With the help of an EEG device, he transforms thoughts and emotions into three-dimensional forms. He uses measurement lines as a basis, which he transforms into unique shapes using a specially developed method. This transformation captures the depth and complexity of the human experience and creates profound works of art.
From this art cycle emerged the vision of creating pieces of jewelry - éphémoire - thoughts and emotions that you can carry with you.
His works can be found in major international corporate, private and public collections. He is in constant exchange of knowledge with the Max Planck Institute (Garching) and NASA (Washington).
